Senior Accountant

We are actively seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Accountant role in our Peabody, MA office.
This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting and compliance responsibilities. Duties include monthly close activities including journal entries and reconciliations, revenue and accounts receivable analysis, revenue recognition and other Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 3-5 years of relevant experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform the month end close and preparation and interpretation of financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Assist with the preparation and evaluation of balance sheet and income statement information, determining variances and trends and reporting to management.
• Evaluate existing accounting methods and processes to automate and streamline.
• Make recommendations for improving policies and procedures.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing, including revenue recognition review.
• Proactively evaluate the results of operations, identify trends/risks/opportunities and recommend actions to ensure the business unit achieves its commitments.
• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the function and the broader business unit.
• Maintain effective internal controls to ensure protection of assets and an accurate reporting of financial position.
• Drive improvements in Working Capital.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Ensure Corporate/Divisional/Business Unit policies and procedures are followed.

Field Application Engineer

We are actively seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of US Field Application Engineer. Working in the TMC Service Team, the Field Application Engineer, reporting to the Global Service Manager, will be responsible for ensuring a successful and positive customer experience from order commitment through product delivery, installation, and certification.

The position requires organization and focus to meet the demands of customers from many different disciplines with varying applications and daily deadlines in a fast-paced high-tech environment. To succeed, one must possess strong interpersonal skills with a professional approach to the job. The position also requires strong technical problem-solving skills, drawing on an engineering degree to work independently as well as with team members to coordinate high profile/high visibility installations of TMC’s high-end solutions while managing demanding customer expectations, adapting to changes in scope and schedule, and interfacing with all stake holders.

This role is responsible for handling all aspects of service support including communications between customers and our TMC sales and service departments and producing detailed written reports and documentation. Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently, hold strong customer service values, and think critically to resolve technical issues.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform Environmental Surveys including floor vibration measurements, room magnetic field measurements and acoustic measurements at customer sites and prepare detailed technical reports
• Provide timely and professional responses to customers, both domestic and international, with technical and logistical information related to TMC products
• Maintain and develop positive client relationships
• Lead pre-installation conference calls, guiding stake holders throughout the planning and execution of large and significant installations
• Develop and expand the current survey capabilities to better suit customer needs
• Travel to customer sites for site walk-throughs as well as project overview and kick-off meetings

Materials Handler/Assembler

We are looking for an energetic, quick learner with good communication skills, who can meet strict deadlines. The Material Handler role is to facilitate material flow inside the plant, being responsible for daily material transactions, supporting work center associates and planner/buyers with material placement and flow. This position will also act as a backup for shipping/receiving associates, if needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Data entry, sorting and verify accuracy of receiving documentation before entering data into operating system.
Process documents such as purchase orders, shipping receipts, enter and process shipping and package information into FedEx, UPS, and computer systems.
Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of shipping documentation before entering data into operating system.
Coordinate loading of domestic truck and international air logistics for deliveries to customers or internal stockroom locations.
Complete receiving and shipping training and can perform transactions for both positions as required in peak times including fork truck operation.
Actively participate in continuous improvement (kaizen) events
Support the daily 5S, cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

Buyer/Planner, TMC

As the Buyer Planner, you will be part of the Materials team, working closely with Production and Engineering teams. The Buyer/Planner is responsible for managing and maintaining work orders and production schedules based on MRP recommendations and customer demand to ensure the controlled flow of work and materials through manufacturing as well as supporting the data accuracy for BOMs, work centers, and routings. The Buyer/Planner will also purchase direct and indirect material, and contracted services for manufactured components. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, ability to think strategically, and excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Success will be measured through tracked results in the areas of On Time Delivery, cycle count accuracy, inventory turns, and supplier performance.

Specific Duties

Plan and schedule work orders to go to Operations Team by using the Visual ERP System to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
Review Visual Reports to adjust schedules due to labor and material constraints.
Analyze shortage reports and expedite through production.
Work with Inside Sales, Engineering and Production on projects to ensure adherence to agreed upon production schedule.
Communicate with Operations and Purchasing on any material constraints impacting the release of work orders to the shop floor.
Analyze and support the inventory cycle count program to resolve any discrepancies.
Supports level-loading (heijunka) plan and all material kitting processes in areas of responsibility.
Ordering of Raw Materials and Components.
Ensures 99.5% supplier quality; communicates discrepancies as required.
Identify and implement process improvements as well as lean manufacturing processes to improve efficiencies, cost, waste reduction, and other lean principles.
Supports Accounting Department with all payments and invoice discrepancies related to purchase orders in his / her areas of responsibility.
Develops new vendor relationships and procurement channels necessary to support business and supply chain objectives.

Lead, Fabrication Welding

The Lead Production Welder will lead a team of individuals in the Welding and Fabrication areas and manage the daily work schedule and assign duties as necessary. Position requires a level of skill as a production welder, and the ability to effectively manage staff to meet production deadlines, while maintaining quality standards and operating within all applicable safety procedures. The daily tasks involve welding a variety of metal components and finish parts to print. The work is 50% MIG and 50% TIG. The welder will work with a variety of materials to include: Light gauge steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.


The successful candidate should have 3-5 years prior experience and be familiar with the safe use of basic hand and power tools, such as grinders and deburring equipment along with the safe use of hoists and pallet jacks.
Knowledge of managing a team, to meet production schedules in a safe manner while maintaining quality.
Experience in following production schedules and delegating tasks, and holding people accountable for their work.
The candidate must be able to work cooperatively with other individuals and departments to meet company objectives.

Quality Assurance Director

AMETEK PTMC is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and career minded individual to serve as our Quality Assurance Director to provide leadership, coaching and foster a quality mindset within the Peabody, MA and Keene, NH sites. The Quality Assurance Director will establish, execute, monitor, and continuously improve processes to promote product quality and customer focus, and provide strategic vision and support to the continuous improvement of the organization.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee TMC’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) with a focus on building a continuous improvement environment across the business
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and deliver improvement activities through the application of process improvement methodologies and innovation
Monitor QMS performance to drive sound data-driven decisions, proactively identifying the beginning of trends that will affect business management system performance
Identify and manage the quality key performance indicators to assess performance; present this data regularly to the management team and implement any resulting corrective action plans
Ensure all employees are adequately trained on QMS policies and procedures; conduct QMS training for new staff members.
Facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based activities to drive ideas and solutions
Interface with Materials Management and supplier representatives to address vendor Quality issues and ensure appropriate levels of corrective action are developed and implemented
Oversee the customer complaint and CAR process to ensure problem verification, research, root cause analysis, and resolution occur in a timely manner; ensure root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities are conducted to develop effective corrective action and process improvement
Actively work with Engineering/R&D on New Product Development projects and processes
Manage product material compliance initiatives such as REACH, ROHS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, etc.

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years prior experience and be familiar with the safe use of basic hand and power tools, such as grinders and deburring equipment along with the safe use of hoists and pallett jacks.
Must be able to understand and follow welding and assembly prints.

Production Manager

AMETEK TMC is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and career minded individual to serve as our Production Manager at our Peabody, MA location. This position will provide leadership, coaching and direction to the Manufacturing Department. Develops and implements strategies and tactics for both long and short-term goals to achieve the highest standards for safety, quality, order fulfillment, and financial metrics. Lead Product Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer

TMC is seeking a highly motivated and forward thinking Manufacturing Engineer to develop and evaluate new processes and improve current process capability, efficiency, and overall productivity in all areas of our manufacturing facility on new and existing products. This position requires the creative use of problem-solving and analytical skills combined with proven Engineering and Manufacturing expertise to provide innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing problems. Knowledge of product design, metal fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, machining, tooling, fixturing, and materials will allow for best practices in providing process improvements.

Job Description

Refine and enhance processes by applying Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing techniques to areas of production. Recommend product design changes to improve manufacturability.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout, often working in concert with other professionals to achieve overall process improvement.
Assure product and process quality by developing manufacturing and testing standards and establishing procedures that confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements, and allow for analysis to determine root causes to enable process improvement.
Specify equipment upgrades and prepare cost estimates and justifications for new or modified equipment to allow for process improvement. Provide project oversight and associated training.

Electrical Engineer

Primary Duties:

The EE role at TMC will be focused primarily on conceptualizing, designing, simulating, documenting, prototyping, and manufacturing new active vibration control and magnetic field cancellation components and systems. The successful candidate will also be expected to diagnose and remedy problems with existing product, improve existing products, lead cost cutting activities, justify new projects to internal stakeholders, and oversee projects on-time and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

BS or higher in Electrical Engineering
3 - 5 years relevant work experience in the following:
Strong knowledge of PCB design, prototype, and manufacture
Strong knowledge of ECAD design tools such as Altium, Eagle, or Orcad
Knowledge of Analog Signal filters
Strong knowledge of Data Acquisition for variety of sensor types
Familiarity with data acquisition specs (resolution, noise tolerances, etc.)
Familiarity with ADC and DAC operations
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools
Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and Parallel
Knowledge of various memory types such as ROM or RAM
Knowledge of power distribution and amplification techniques of both AC and DC
Knowledge of embedded programming such as C, C++, C# or Python languages
Experience using LabVIEW, Spice, Multisim, or similar for electrical simulation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to succeed in cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
