Manager, Quality

We are currently seeking a Manager, Quality to join our team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional who can promote and foster a quality mindset within the business through effective leadership, strategic vision and support to the continuous improvement of the organization. Position Responsibilities • Manage TMC’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) with a focus on building a continuous improvement environment across the business • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and deliver improvement activities through the application of process improvement methodologies and innovation • Monitor QMS performance to drive sound data-driven decisions, proactively identifying the beginning of trends that will affect business management system performance • Identify and manage the quality key performance indicators to assess performance; present this data regularly to the management team and implement any resulting corrective action plans • Ensure all employees are adequately trained on QMS policies and procedures; conduct QMS training for new staff members. • Facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based activities to drive ideas and solutions • Interface with Materials Management and supplier representatives to address vendor Quality issues and ensure appropriate levels of corrective action are developed and implemented • Oversee the customer complaint and CAR process to ensure problem verification, research, root cause analysis, and resolution occur in a timely manner; ensure root-cause analysis and problem solving activities are conducted to develop effective corrective action and process improvement • Actively work with Engineering/R&D on New Product Development projects and processes • Manage product material compliance initiatives such as REACH, ROHS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, etc.

Sales Applications Engineer

The Sales Engineer/Applications Engineer is a key driver of the Sales, Marketing, and Engineering functions focused on growing TMC’s world-leading floor vibration control products by providing commercial, strategic, and technical guidance to customers, marketing, sales, and service personnel. This is a high visibility position ideal for an Engineering or Physical Science professional seeking to make a direct contribution to TMC’s strategic customer-focused and technical initiatives at our Peabody, MA factory and division headquarters. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development as it plays a critical role in executing TMC’s growth strategies in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.

Our customers seek to image, measure, and fabricate at the nanometer scale and below. Applications range from nanotechnology and semiconductor fabrication to life science and high energy laser physics. As part of TMC’s Technical Sales team, the Sales Engineer/Applications Engineer will be responsible for identifying customer needs and developing optimal proposals from TMC’s product portfolio of configurable and custom solutions. The Sales Engineer/Applications Engineer is a brand ambassador, representing TMC via frequent customer interaction daily via phone and email, as well as trade show support and occasional customer site visits.

Field Application Engineer

We are actively seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of US Field Application Engineer. Working in the TMC Service Team, the Field Application Engineer, reporting to the Global Service Manager, will be responsible for ensuring a successful and positive customer experience from order commitment through product delivery, installation, and certification.

The position requires organization and focus to meet the demands of customers from many different disciplines with varying applications and daily deadlines in a fast-paced high-tech environment. To succeed, one must possess strong interpersonal skills with a professional approach to the job. The position also requires strong technical problem-solving skills, drawing on an engineering degree to work independently as well as with team members to coordinate high profile/high visibility installations of TMC’s high-end solutions while managing demanding customer expectations, adapting to changes in scope and schedule, and interfacing with all stake holders.

This role is responsible for handling all aspects of service support including communications between customers and our TMC sales and service departments and producing detailed written reports and documentation. Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently, hold strong customer service values, and think critically to resolve technical issues.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform Environmental Surveys including floor vibration measurements, room magnetic field measurements and acoustic measurements at customer sites and prepare detailed technical reports
• Provide timely and professional responses to customers, both domestic and international, with technical and logistical information related to TMC products
• Maintain and develop positive client relationships
• Lead pre-installation conference calls, guiding stake holders throughout the planning and execution of large and significant installations
• Develop and expand the current survey capabilities to better suit customer needs
• Travel to customer sites for site walk-throughs as well as project overview and kick-off meetings
• Support new product installations and provide service on existing products. Training will be provided on our product lines, including Stacis III, Stacis iX, Mag-NetX, PEPS II, Everstill and micro-G
• Travel worldwide to perform duties. Most travel will be in North America with the potential for occasional travel to Europe, Asia, and south/central America

Electro Mechanical Assembler

The Electro-Mechanical Assembler position for the ELECTRODAMP & STACIS IX SEM-BASE work cells will build systems to specifications following prints and work instructions.

This position involves the use of various hand tools and instruments to allow for assembly and testing of finished products to ensure conformance to specifications.

Must be able to read and follow assembly prints, electrical schematics, work packages, wiring diagrams and pneumatic diagrams.

This position will support both work cells referred to above based on needs of the business.

Materials Handler/Assembler

We are looking for an energetic, quick learner with good communication skills, who can meet strict deadlines. The Material Handler role is to facilitate material flow inside the plant, being responsible for daily material transactions, supporting work center associates and planner/buyers with material placement and flow. This position will also act as a backup for shipping/receiving associates, if needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Data entry, sorting and verify accuracy of receiving documentation before entering data into operating system.
Process documents such as purchase orders, shipping receipts, enter and process shipping and package information into FedEx, UPS, and computer systems.
Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of shipping documentation before entering data into operating system.
Coordinate loading of domestic truck and international air logistics for deliveries to customers or internal stockroom locations.
Complete receiving and shipping training and can perform transactions for both positions as required in peak times including fork truck operation.
Actively participate in continuous improvement (kaizen) events
Support the daily 5S, cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for QC inspection of products to the established quality standards to meet customer demand and expectations.

Adhere to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate both in writing and verbally to the purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing teams with any issues or opportunities that may affect product quality
Check the Material Lists and Lot #'s
Determine suitability of products, either purchased externally or made in-house, using industry standard, mainly mechanical, inspection techniques
Coordinate material disposition activities in support of Production requirements / consumptions
Update and maintain list of non-conforming materials per company standard
Maintain an effective & professional communication with supervisors, operators & management
Assist in relieving operators in tasks that do not impact your QC inspections (carts, materials, moving product etc.)
Read, follow and understand operating procedures
Learn multiple production operations and adjust quickly to new tasks
Implement methods and processes to inspect, test and evaluate products and equipment
Exhibit excellent time management skills by meeting assigned deadlines for inspection and delivery of product to various work cells
Assist in the maintenance of ISO9001-2015 Certified Quality System

The person must be able to understand and follow assembly prints, work packages, and air diagrams. Familiarity with electrical assembly or sheet metal fabrication would be a plus.

The person may work individually or as part of a team on large, complicated assemblies. Quality of work and attention to detail must be good. Must be able to check own work at different stages and work with minimal supervision in an ISO9001 environment. Position requires the occasional movement of up to 50 pounds. One to three years of experience preferred.

Tasks will vary. In addition to mechanical assembly, the job will include:
1. Drilling, tapping, and grinding of parts
2. Cleaning, packing, and crating of finished parts
3. Use of wood working equipment
4. Material Handling and use of overhead crane

Grinder 2nd Shift

We are looking to hire an individual to work in our weld shop. The work involves using air powered grinders and sanders to deburr welded items that need painting and to polish and grain unpainted stainless items.

Duties:

Should be familiar with the safe use of basic hand and power tools along with the safe use of hoists and pallet jacks.
Be able to understand and follow welding/assembly prints.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision around welders in an ISO9001 environment. This manufacturing facility has all safety measures put in place including state-of-the art 3M Dust Hoods.
This work can be physical and require the occasional movement of metal of up to 50 pounds.
Will lend assistance in other departments as required.

The successful candidate should have 3-5 years prior experience and be familiar with the safe use of basic hand and power tools, such as grinders and deburring equipment along with the safe use of hoists and pallett jacks.
Must be able to understand and follow welding and assembly prints.
The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision around other welders in a production ISO environment. The manufacturing facility has all safety measures in place.

This position can be based in either the Keene, NH or Peabody, MA location to provide leadership, coaching and direction to the customer service personnel across multiple locations.
